Synthesis and characterisation of [HgX2 .L1-10] Complexes

Forty complexes of the type [HgX2 .L1-10] (where X = Cl or Br or NO3 or CH3COO and L1-10 i.e. L1 or L2 or L3 or L4 or L5 or L6 or L7 or L8 or L9 or L10 macrocyclic ligands ) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR and X-ray photoelectron spectra data. An octahedral geometry was also established for each [HgX2 .L1-10] complexes.
