Abstract

Article Summary

Some new complex compounds of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cr(III) with Phenylglyoxal -4-iminoantipyrine have been isolated. All the complexes are colored solids. They have been characterized by elemental analysis, UV-vis, infrared and magnetic studies. On the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies, six coordinated geometry may be assigned for these complexes. The ligand is tridentate and coordination takes place through ONO. The Schiff base and its complexes have been tested for their antifungal activity against various organisms.
