Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial studies on pyrazole containing tetrahydroquinoline derivatives

1,2,3,4 tetrahydroquinolines attached to pyrazole moiety have been synthesized employing imino Diels-Alder reaction. In the given work the pyrazole substituted imines have been synthesized in situ using 4-formyl-1,3-diphenyl pyrazole substituted aniline. These are treated with dihydropyran and dihydrofuran and dihydro as dienophiles. The reactions are found to be quite facile giving high yields. The final products tetrahydroquinolines derivatives exhibit moderate to good antibacterial activity.
